Dr Kwek Boon Han was a consultant radiologist in Diagnostic Imaging, Singapore General Hospital when he left the public sector in 2005 to set up the Heart and Vascular Center, AsiaMedic Limited, that was the first site in the region to run a clinical service with the 64-slice CT scanner by GE Healthcare.
After a very successful year in the Heart and Vascular Center, AsiaMedic Limited, Dr Kwek Boon Han left for Asia HealthPartners where he set up the Imaging Centre, Asia HealthPartners, that is the first site in Asia to run a clinical service with the HDx MRI as well as the new CT platform and software for the 64-slice CT scanner.
Asia HealthPartners was awarded the “Reference Center for Advanced Imaging, GE Healthcare” as a commitment to deliver the latest in technology that enhances patient care as well as to provide advanced CT and MRI training for regional doctors.
In the year 2003, Dr Kwek Boon Han completed a Cardiac and Chest fellowship in Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard under a government scholarship (HMDP). His present interest is in the application of advanced MRI techniques specifically in the fields of orthopaedics, brain, breast and cardiovascular imaging. |

Dr Gan Yu Unn is a consultant radiologist at Asia HealthPartners. He was previously a consultant at the Singapore General Hospital where he held the post of Radiology Training Director.
Dr Gan received his basic medical degree from Trinity College, University of Dublin and his postgraduate degree from the Royal College of Radiologists in London.
Prior to joining Asia HealthPartners, Dr Gan was awarded a HMDP scholarship by the Singapore Ministry of Health to train at the Brigham and Women’s hospital in Boston, USA..There, he advanced his training in abdominal imaging with a focus on the genitourinary system.
Dr Gan has presented his research work and lectured at both local and overseas seminars. He was a winner of the Singapore Radiology Society Young Radiologist Award and also a recipient of the Society of Uroradiology (USA) Best Paper Award. Dr Gan’s research papers have been published in major clinical journals such as the American Journal of Radiology and Radiology. |

Dr Chong Yeang Chern graduated from Medical School, National University of Singapore in 1998. She was awarded her Masters in Family Medicine in 2003. She is a member of American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine and American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine, having attained a diploma in Aesthetic Medicine. She is also trained in Australian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine.
Dr Chong spent 5 years in Singapore polyclinics, holding the position of Deputy Head before she joined Asia HealthPartners. She is proficient in English, Chinese, dialects (Teo-chew, Hokkien) and Japanese (JLPT N2 certification).
Dr Chong is a family practitioner with more than 10 years of clinical experience. Her special interests are in wellness - health screening, anti-aging management, travel medicine, education and health promotion.
In addition she is experienced in the care of chronic medical conditions such as heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia and osteoporosis. She has piloted weight management programmes with successful outcomes. She was involved in the teaching of medical doctors doing the Masters of Family Medicine Programme. She is also well trained in men and women's health issues. She dedicates time to give medical talks for public education and has contributed articles for many magazines. She is currently the medical advisor for a men's magazine.
She is known for her caring and holistic approach towards all patients. She would like to be seen not just as a healer, but also a confidante for her patients. She believes in providing quality medical care as well as incorporating wellness into lifestyles. |

Dr Vanessa Phua has a history of training in ophthalmology and aesthetic medicine internationally. Educated in the United Kingdom, with an ophthalmic microsurgical background, Dr Vanessa Phua has an interest in aesthetic medicine. This includes a range of non-surgical and minimally-invasive forms of anti-ageing enhancements. Her signature treatments are Joie De Vivre Face & Body Contouring and Papillon Revitalizing Threadlift.
Dr Phua is certified by the HyaCorp Institute in Face & Body Filler contouring. Dr Colin Tham is an accredited specialist plastic surgeon in private practice. He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland in 1992. He proceeded with his basic and advanced specialty training in plastic surgery with the Singapore General Hospital and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Ireland) in 1999. Dr Tham is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine (Singapore), and a member of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. He is an executive committee member of the Singapore Society of Cosmetic (Aesthetic) Surgery and the Singapore Association of Plastic Surgeons.
Dr Tham subspecialises in the field of aesthetics. In 2003, he was the one and only specialist plastic surgeon to be awarded a fellowship by the Singapore government's Human Manpower Development Programme (HDMP) to study Oriental Aesthetic surgery at ChangGing Memorial Hospital (Taiwan). In 2005, he pioneered the Aesthetic Centre in KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (Singapore), where he still returns as a visiting consultant.
Dr Tham left the public sector in 2006 to join Asia HealthPartners, where he is currently the Director of the Aesthetics Division. He continues to hone his craft on the cutting edge of both cosmetic surgery and non-invasive aesthetic procedures. He has special interest in eyelid surgery, breast enhancement, hi-definition liposculpture and hair transplants. In 2008, Dr Tham became an Associate of the VASER Hi Def Institute. In the same year, he set up HairAesthetics, Singapore’s most comprehensive medical & surgical hair restoration centre, where he performs hair and eyebrow transplants regularly.

Dr Mark Fernandes is an accredited Specialist Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist who seeks to provide professional and personalized care to his patients with state-of-the-art equipment and modern medical facilities.
He received his undergraduate and medical education from the University of Edinburgh and graduated with B.Sc (First Class Honours) and MB ChB (Honours). He completed his internship at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh before returning to Singapore to complete his basic specialty training in Internal Medicine and advanced specialty training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the National University Hospital. He was admitted as a Member of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom in 2003 and is currently a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine (Singapore).
On completion of his Gastroenterology training in Singapore, Dr Fernandes pursued an Advanced Fellowship in Interventional Hepatology at the Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan and furthered his exposure to Liver Transplantation Medicine at the King's College Hospital, London. He was the first Gastroenterologist in Singapore to perform Radiofrequency Ablation for liver cancer. In 2009, he established the Liver Tumour Ablative Service at National University Hospital (NUH), in collaboration with the Departments of Diagnostic Imaging and was also actively involved in the liver transplantation programme at NUH. Dr Fernandes has also a strong interest in monitoring the progression of liver disease using Fibroscan®.
Dr Fernandes joined Asia HealthPartners in 2010, where he is currently the Director of Endoscopy and Interventional Hepatology. He offers comprehensive gastrointestinal and liver wellness and cancer screening services as well as customized programs for weight management and nutrition. The range of services include gastroscopy and colonoscopy for the screening of gastric and colon cancer and pre-malignant conditions. He also provide a liver wellness programme including Fibroscan® for the assessment of liver fibrosis and cirrhosis, liver cancer screening and state-of-the-art minimally invasive Radiofrequency Ablation for the treatment of liver cancer. Lastly, he provides weight loss solutions including the bioenteric intragastric balloon system.
Dr Fernandes has presented research work at international conferences and published in international peer-reviewed journals. He was a Clinical Tutor at the National University Singapore and continues to be a visiting consultant at the National University Hospital, Singapore.
